The Playful Anarchist

The Playful Anarchist is a now shuttered experiment in cultural criticism centered on the idea of politics as theatre, and political discussion as manufactured and essentially meaningless cultural dadaism. Rather than pour his contempt for the political stage into rants, Asher decided to poke fun. Currently, though, Asher pursues art as what he considers the ultimate rejection of ideology. He could play with political pseudo-events again if enough disdain overtakes him in the future. You never know, with Asher. Asher credits Daniel Boorstin for the concept of pseudo-events and inspiration to Noam Chomsky for Manufacturing Consent. The Playful Anarchist: – playfully observing fraud, scandal, corruption, misrepresentation, and other forms of conspiracy, in corporations, government, political entities, the military, and the public.
